Kaye, Rose & Partners, LLP was founded in 1991 when Lawrence Kaye and Bradley Rose first established offices in Los Angeles and San Diego. They had previously been affiliated with Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, one of the nation's most prestigious law firms. We continued our expansion in 1993 with the opening of our San Francisco office, adding partners from other widely-known national and international law firms.

The firm's history, as well as its future, is firmly rooted in serving a unique blend of maritime and shoreside commercial business. We have developed expertise in many different areas of law, including commercial and business litigation, contract negotiation and transactions, labor and employment, product liability, insurance coverage and defenses, regulatory, administrative and entertainment law, alternative dispute resolution, white-collar criminal defense, aviation defense, customs and trades, and general maritime law.

Today, Kaye, Rose & Partners, LLP employs more than 25 attorneys, legal assistants, consultants and staff in three offices. Among our attorneys and consultants are judges pro tem, mediators and arbitrators, law school professors and lecturers, ships' captains, engineers and nurses. Our personnel are available to respond to clients needs around the clock, and can mobilize quickly in emergencies occurring throughout the Pacific Basin, Alaska, Mexico and the Caribbean. Each office is strategically located to enable us to coordinate crisis response in many different regions.

The philosophy that inspired our growth has never changed: Work closely as a team to efficiently deliver the highest quality legal services at fair rates.

Each of our attorneys in every office is an integral member of the Kaye, Rose & Partners family. From our inception this unique team approach has been a hallmark of all attorneys who join us. We work hard to assure integration between all offices, practice groups and personnel. Competition between our attorneys for clients or hours simply does not exist. This means a client calling one office might be networked with an attorney in another, if the latter attorney can best meet the client's needs.

We have an extensive data base and archived files, and keep our clients closely informed of emerging legal and industry developments. For almost a decade we have published an award-winning quarterly newsletter, Cruise & Carrier Legal Update, and regularly organize enrichment seminars for maritime and shoreside businesses alike.

Kaye, Rose & Partners, LLP is also fortunate to have highly trained and service-oriented administrators, with almost 40 years collective business and law firm management expertise. The firm aggressively pursues fair billing policies by charging competitive rates, keeping overhead low, using careful case management and controlling client fees and costs.

Our approach to practicing law, from our most senior partner to our clerical staff, ensures that we are able to deliver the highest quality legal services available in a practical, cost-effective manner.
